Tequila Barrel-Aged Apple Cider With Pineapple
Tépache is an old favourite of Revel's. Traditionally a Mexican beverage, made with pineapple, spices, and unrefined sugar. Revel make it a little differently with cider as the base.
This batch was aged in tequila barrels for two years, then bottle conditioned. Tart, with soft tropical fruit and spices. Extended ageing has folded fruit and spirit into one.
2017 was the last year Revel brought pineapples into their cidery. In an attempt to only use fruit they can find locally, they will no longer be using tropical fruits. Savour these last few bottles.
