A traditional kriek lambic produced by macerating hand-picked whole sour cherries, including the pits, on young lambic, in a proportion of one kilogram of fruit per litre of lambic. It is then blended with young lambic to obtain a minimum intensity of 35% fruit, and bottled immediately afterwards. After bottling, it is stored in a warm room for at least four months to help with secondary fermentation in the bottle.
